Flood damages in Kurnool and Mahaboobnagar districts

We visited Nidzoor ,Sunkesula,Kothakota villages of Kurnool district and Alampur temple village of Mahaboobnagar districts on 13/09/2009.Most of villagers have not recovered from the shock. We the urbanites without respecting their sentiments ,pouring the help in the form of used cloths which are just thrown on roads by them because they are farmers but not beggers. The farmers of India prefer to feed others but not at receiving end like beggars.Let us respect their sentiments and gift them new dresses for the Deewali and help them to provide better sanitation in the village.

Alampur Drowned

The famous Alampur temple (i.e one of the Astadasa shakti Peethas) badly affected by Tunga-Bhadra river floods. The sanitation condition at the temple is pathetic. The villlage is also submerged because of Kriver river backwater as the confluence point of Tungabhadra and Krishna rivers is just 1 km away from Alampur.
